Management

Beneficial Management Practices:

Grassland - other (specify in comments)
Water - prevent woody invasion of fens
Grassland - maintain habitat diversity

Beneficial Management References: 007

Adverse Managment Practices:

Grassland - other (specify in comments)
Grassland - uncontrolled grazing of domestic livestock

Adverse Management References: 007

Comments on Management:
Local hydrologic conditions should be maintained, to avoid lowering of water table. Woody invasion of prairies or fens is detrimental. *07*. an IL study found greater numbers of viable seeds with higher germination rates when plants are outcrossed. Hand pollination produced a greater % of viable seeds per capsule than natural pollination. Hand pollination and outcrossing can enhance propagation and restoration efforts. *09*.
